Judith Herbert Psychotherapy

Are you struggling with difficult feelings? A sense that you’re stuck or finding it hard to move forward in your life? Do you suffer with low self-esteem or self-destructive feelings?

Together we can find a way forward.

Many of us feel low at some point in our lives, often when major changes impact us very deeply. What is happening for you at the moment? Are you finding it hard to cope with the end of a relationship? Are you in pain at losing a loved one? Perhaps you have been living with difficult feelings and thoughts for a long time, and feel you can’t carry on without sharing them with someone who can help you to explore and understand them. Difficult relationships with parents and siblings can lead to issues affecting self-esteem and confidence; so often, childhood experiences can remain with us long into adulthood, and can be triggered by something that is happening for us now.

Therapy can really help you. Whatever is happening for you at the moment, I will provide a safe, confidential space for you to talk freely about perhaps the most painful feelings or thoughts – feelings and thoughts that perhaps you have never shared with anyone before.

Deciding to have therapy can feel frightening – that’s why it’s so vitally important to be able to trust your therapist. I am an accredited member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy, so you can rest assured that I will conduct myself professionally according to the highest ethical standards. What is important is that you feel free to talk about whatever you want without fear of being judged, safe in the knowledge that your therapy session is completely confidential. As your therapist, I will listen to your own unique story without prejudice or judgment so that I can help you to look at your feelings in a way that makes them feel more bearable.

Starting therapy will be the beginning of a journey towards an emotionally freer life, where insight and understanding can help you to move on from whatever is holding you back.
